Updates

  • DCR – Restored DCR operating rights onto one link segment located on the Delaware-Maryland borderline near the Delmar DE station. This gap in link attribution had disconnected routing on DCR between Delmar DE and Salisbury MD per customer.
  • RYAL – Digitized railroad track segments on RYAL (both ownership and operating rights) based on updated aerial imagery. This shortline railroad is located in southeastern Washington state. There are two activated stations from west to east: Royal City WA (119.630602W, 46.901000N) to Othello WA (119.178356W, 46.825738N). The distance between these two stations is 28.2 miles.
  • UP – Added Harbor Island WA station on UP as intermodal station per UP request.
  • UP – Added IEIT CA station on UP as intermodal station per UP request.


CPRS track operating rights changes

  1. Added CPRS operating rights onto track segment links from the subdivision between Prince Rupert Exgn BC to Spicer BC. These activated CPRS stations from west to east include: Prince Rupert Exgn BC, Terrace BC, Smithers BC, Endako BC, McBride BC, Peterson BC and Spicer BC.


CSXT track operating rights changes

  1. Removed CSXT operating rights from track segment links on the spur between Millville NJ and Dorchester NJ. These deactivated CSXT stations from north to south include: South Millville NJ, Manumuskin NJ, Port Elizabeth NJ and Dorchester NJ.
  2. Removed CSXT operating rights from track segment links on the spur between Bridgeton Jct NJ and Norma NJ. The deactivated CSXT station is Bridgeton Jct NJ.
  3. Removed CSXT operating rights from track segment links on the spur between Bridgeton Jct NJ and Seabrook NJ. These deactivated CSXT stations from south to north include: Bridgeton Jct NJ and Seabrook NJ.
  4. Removed CSXT operating rights from track segment links on the spur between Bridgeton Jct NJ and Mauricetown NJ. These deactivated CSXT stations from north to south include: Bridgeton Jct NJ, Bridgeton NJ, Port Of Bridgeton NJ, East Bridgeton NJ, Cedarville NJ, Newport NJ, Dividing Creek NJ, Haleyville NJ and Mauricetown NJ.


GDLK track operating rights changes

  1. Added GDLK operating rights onto track segment links from the subdivision between Munising MI to Trout Lake MI. These activated GDLK stations from west to east include: Munising MI, Munising Jct MI, Wetmore MI, Forrest Center MI, Shingleton MI, Spur 97 MI, Driggs Spur 88 MI, Seney MI, McMillan MI, Dollarville MI, Newberry MI, Raco Jct MI and Trout Lake MI.


NS track operating rights changes

  1. Removed NS operating rights from track segment links on the spur between Millville NJ and Dorchester NJ. These deactivated NS stations from north to south include: Millville WW NJ, South Millville NJ, Manumuskin NJ, Port Elizabeth NJ and Dorchester NJ.
  2. Removed NS operating rights from track segment links on the spur between Bridgeton Jct NJ and Norma (WW) NJ. These deactivated NS stations from west to east include: Bridgeton Jct NJ and Norma (WW) NJ.

  1. Added RWRR operating rights onto track segment links from the subdivision between Kadoka SD to Mitchell SD. These activated RWRR stations from west to east include: Kadoka SD, Belvidere SD, Stamford SD, Okaton SD, Murdo SD, Draper SD, Vivian SD, Presho SD, Kennebec SD, Reliance SD, Oacoma SD, Chamberlain SD, Pukwana SD, Kimball SD, White Lake SD, Plankinton SD, Mount Vernon SD, Betts SD, Titterton Diding SD and Mitchell SD.
  2. Added RWRR operating rights onto track segment links from the subdivision between Aberdeen SD to Sioux City IA. These activated RWRR stations from north to south include: Aberdeen SD, Wolsey SD, Titterton Diding SD, Mitchell SD, Napa SD and Sioux City IA.


WSOR track operating rights changes

  1. Added WSOR operating rights onto track segment links from Fond Du Lac WI to Eden WI in order to serve these activated stations.
  2. Added WSOR operating rights onto track segment links from West Bend WI, Jackson WI, Rockfield WI and D B R Siding WI in order to serve these activated stations.
  3. Added WSOR operating rights onto track segment links from Grafton WI, Cedarburg WI, Thiensville WI and Brown Deer WI in order to serve these activated stations.
  4. Added WSOR operating rights onto track segment links between Mequon WI and Mill WI.


Reported railroad line out-of-service in Dallas, TX area

Performed the following modifications:

  1. Removed defunct freight railroad track link segments from 96.908406W, 32.955029N to 96.828258W, 32.804915N per customer request. Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), a local commuter light rail service, currently uses these railroad tracks now and PC*Miler Rail does not model this type of railroad functionality.
  2. Added UP operating rights onto railroad track link segments from Carrollton TX (96.908406W, 32.955029N) to Irving TX station (96.949795W, 32.814936N).
  3. Moved Farmers Branch TX station (DGNO and UP) onto adjacent railroad track link segments. The station node is positioned at the following coordinates: 96.904913W, 32.927122N per research.

  • Moved Maine Northern Jct ME station to 45.684229N, 68.637324W per request; added CPRS operating rights onto railroad track segments from Millinocket ME to Maine Northern Jct ME in order to connect this relocated station to CPRS network.
  • Added Kansas City MO station on CSXT. Please note that KCS has a valid haulage agreement with CSXT and this transaction is needed to service the route between Kansas City MO and East St Louis IL.
  • Modified ownership and operating rights on railroad track segments from the following: Hollidaysburg PA to Brookes Mills PA, Brookes Mills PA to Sproul PA and Brookes Mills PA to Martinsburg PA per research.
  • Added new Bajio FXE GJ station (100.780988W, 20.425122N) per FXE request.
  • Added ownership and operating rights onto railroad link segments in Sparrows Point MD (port facility near Baltimore MD) per research.

The following enhancements were made since Version 26.2:

Station, Junction and Track Updates

  • CMQ – Removed all CMQ (defunct railroad) ownership rights and operating rights from all railroad track segments in the following states and provinces:  Maine, New Brunswick, New Hampshire, New York, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Vermont. This is due to the provisions required per the CPRS-CMQ merger agreement and the cessation of CMQ railroad operations.
  • CPRS – Verified that Allentown PA (ALTN) and Phila Park Junction PA (PKJCT) R260 junction agreements have expired per CPRS.
  • CPRS – Verified that Hazleton (RBMN) PA and Selkirk NY stations are active per CPRS.
  • CPRS – Verified that the following CPRS stations in Manitoba have been expired per CPRS: Cypress River MB, Glensboro MB, Holland MB and Treherne MB.
  • CPRS – Verified that the following CPRS stations in Pennsylvania have been expired per CPRS: Catawissa PA, Creasy PA, East Bloomsburg PA, Honey Pot PA, Kingsley PA, Nanticoke PA, Nescopeck PA, Retreat PA, South Danville PA, Wapwallopen PA and Yatesville PA.
  • CPRS – Verified that the following number of added CPRS station match the listing provided by CPRS: Maine (69 CPRS stations), New Brunswick (6 CPRS stations), Quebec (41 CPRS stations) and Vermont (2 CPRS stations).
  • CPRS – Verified that the following R260 junctions from the Railinc update that will facilitate freight movements in Maine and Vermont and New Brunswick (Canada): R260 BRNJC: CPRS and NBSR junction agreement; R260 BRUNW: CPRS and ST junction agreement; R260 MLNCK: CN and CPRS junction agreement; R260 MLNCK: CPRS and MNR junction agreement; R260 NEWPT: CPRS and VTR junction agreement and R260 NMJCT: CPRS and ST junction agreement; R260 SHRBR: CN and CPRS junction agreement and R260 SHRBR: CPRS and SLQ junction agreement. Note: Use the AutoRouter utility in PC*Miler Rail software program to generate CPRS routes to destination stations in northern Maine, southern Maine and New Brunswick (Canada).

CPRS Track Ownership Rights Changes

  1. Maine – Added CPRS track ownership rights onto previously CMQ-owned track segments and removed CMQ operating rights from Brunswick ME to Rockland ME per the CPRS-CMQ merger agreement. The following CPRS stations along this line were activated on 20200603: Brunswick ME, Mason ME, Hardings ME, Bath ME, Wiscasset ME, Yankee ME, Newcastle ME, Waldoboro ME, Muscongus ME, Allens ME, Warren ME, Foley Pit ME, Thomaston ME and Rockland ME.
  2. Quebec – Added CPRS track ownership rights onto previously CMQ-owned track segments and removed CMQ operating rights between Ste Rosalie Jct PQ and Stanbridge PQ per the CPRS-CMQ merger agreement.


CMQ Track Ownership Rights and Operating Rights Changes

  1. Maine – Removed CMQ ownership and operating rights between Augusta ME and Brunswick ME per the CPRS-CMQ merger agreement.
  2. New Brunswick – Removed CMQ ownership and operating rights between Bathurst MB and Newcastle NB due to the cessation of CMQ railroad operations.
  3. New Brunswick – Removed CMQ ownership and operating rights between Florenceville NB and McAdam NB due to the cessation of CMQ railroad operations.
  4. New Brunswick – Removed CMQ ownership and operating rights between Watt NB and St Andrews NB due to the cessation of CMQ railroad operations.
  5. Prince Edward Island – Removed CMQ ownership and operating rights from Summerside PE, Charlottetown PE and Cardigan PE due to the cessation of CMQ railroad operations. These stations on Prince Edward Island were previously served via barge train service form the Cape Tormentine NB.
  6. Nova Scotia – Removed CMQ ownership and operating rights between Edwardsville NS and Jefferson NS due to the cessation of CMQ railroad operations.
  7. Nova Scotia – Removed CMQ ownership and operating rights between Pictou NS and Abercrombie NS due to the cessation of CMQ railroad operations.
  8. Nova Scotia – Removed CMQ ownership and operating rights between Digby IMS NS and New Minas NS due to the cessation of CMQ railroad operations.
  9. Nova Scotia – Removed CMQ ownership and operating rights between Caledonia NS and Bridgewater NS due to the cessation of CMQ railroad operations.
  10. Nova Scotia – Removed CMQ ownership and operating rights between Metegham NS to Liverpool NS due to the cessation of CMQ railroad operations.


CMQ Stations and Junctions Changes

All former CMQ stations and junction agreements have been expired per Railinc update.

Summary of expired CMQ stations by state/province:

A total of 350 CMQ stations have been expired. These include the following: Maine = 149 CMQ stations, New Brunswick = 65 CMQ stations, New Hampshire = 1 CMQ station, New York = 1 CMQ station, Newfoundland = 11 CMQ stations, Nova Scotia = 49 CMQ stations, Prince Edward Island = 3 CMQ stations, Quebec = 65 CMQ stations and Vermont = 6 CMQ stations.
