PC*MILER chooses routes based on the route options that you select.  

These options include everything from route types and vehicle dimensions to hazmat* designations. Other route options such as road speeds and tolls* do not affect which route is chosen, but they can help provide more precise ETA and cost information for your and your customers. (*These features require add-on licenses.)

Route types and options should be selected before you run a route. They can be changed using Application Settings, Route Profiles, and Route Options.
